EMPOWERING CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES – Advocacy Project 2026

This year, AG Peshawar AGAPE Trust launched its Advocacy Project “Empowering Christian Communities”, based on the strong belief that every Christian should know the laws and understand their legal rights. Legal awareness is essential for protection, dignity, and justice.

The first session of this advocacy project was successfully held at AG Grammar School Peshawar with the parents of school children, creating an open space for learning and discussion on legal rights.

The session was facilitated by Advocate Remesha Robin, who provided valuable awareness about Christian laws and explained how understanding the law can help communities safeguard their rights.

Pastor Hanook Chairman AGAPE Trust emphasized that AGAPE Trust felt a strong need for the Christian community to be informed about the law so they can stand confidently, protect their rights, and support one another.

This initiative marks the beginning of a journey toward a more informed, empowered, and resilient Christian community.

Vocational Skills Development Program Launched 2026

AGAPE Trust is pleased to share that our Vocational Skills Development Program has officially started! This year, 104 students have been selected to receive professional training in different trades aimed at building their skills and preparing them for better livelihood opportunities.

The program offers training in a variety of fields including:

o DIT (Diploma in Information Technology)

o E-Commerce

o Web Designing

o LHV (Lady Health Visitor)

o Ultrasound Technician

o Anesthesia Technician

o Sewing Courses

o Photography

o Beautician Courses

This year, AGAPE Trust is especially focusing on youth between the ages of 15–25, equipping them with practical skills so they can become self-reliant and contribute as breadwinners for their families.

To begin the program, orientation sessions were conducted for students of each trade, where participants were introduced to the course structure, expectations, and the vision of empowering youth through skills.

We believe that skills create opportunities, restore dignity, and build stronger communities.

1. Ongoing Projects: Empowering Communities

1.1 Vocational Programs for Skill Development

Status: Continuing to empower local youth and women with market-relevant skills.
Focus: Sewing, Beautician, E-commerce, DIT, Medical Courses.

1.2 Mobile Medical Camp

Status: Providing accessible healthcare to remote areas.
Focus: General health check-ups, health advice and basic medication.
Reach: 900+ individuals served, with an emphasis on preventive care.

2. New Initiatives: Tackling Emerging Challenges

2.1 Heat Stroke Awareness

Objective: Educating vulnerable communities on heat stroke prevention and safety.
Target Areas: Rural and underserved areas most affected by rising temperatures.

2.2 Flood Preparedness Awareness

Objective: Enhancing community readiness for monsoon- related floods.
Activities: Rescue training, first-aid procedures, and distribution of brochures with information.

2.3 Climate Change Adaptation Awareness

Objective: Raising awareness of local climate change impacts and adaptive strategies.
Collaborators: Partnering with OATH to localize global climate change issues.

2.4 The CATCH Project (Community Awakening Through Churches)

Goal: Strengthening the role of local churches in community leadership and awareness.
Activities: Mobilizing church networks to spread messages on social issues like health, education, and community resilience.

3. Staff Capacity Building: Equipping the Team

3.1 Climate Change Adaptation Workshop (with OATH)

Objective: Training staff on practical measures for climate resilience.
Focus: Adaptation strategies in agriculture, water management, and sustainable development.

3.2 Drug Prevention Training (with Fida Team)

Objective: Enhancing staff knowledge and capacity to prevent drug abuse in communities.
Focus: Intervention techniques, counseling methods, and community engagement strategies.

3.3 Advocacy Session on Basic Rights and Christian Minority & Marriage Laws

Purpose: Empowering with knowledge of minority rights.
Focus: Basic human rights, minority rights and Christian marriage laws.

1.1 Learning meets opportunity; Vocational Programs for skill development

This year, we proudly announced the launch of eight new courses, aimed specifically at empowering the most deserving students in our community. Our mission has been clear: to provide individuals with the skills they need to break free from the chains of poverty and build a future of independence. By focusing on those who need it most, we are not just providing education—we are offering a path to self-sufficiency and dignity.

We are pleased to report that over 70 beneficiaries have enrolled in these courses, and many are now near to the successful completion of their programs. Each step they take brings them closer to becoming skilled professionals, ready to contribute meaningfully to society.

In line with our commitment to uplifting and empowering women, we are glad that 90% of those enrolled are female. Our goal is to help these women flourish with dignity and nobility, and in turn, empower them to lift their families out of hardship. By providing them with the tools to become independent, we are creating a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the individual.

As these students are close to the completion of their courses, we are reminded of the power of education to transform lives, not just for today but for generations to come.

1.2 Good health is a Journey; Mobile Medical camp

In the second quarter of this year, we took a significant step forward in our mission to provide quality healthcare by expanding our efforts into four new areas. In these communities, where access to even the most basic medical services is often a distant dream, our team has been making regular visits to offer not only medical care but also essential health advice.

Our medical camps have become a lifeline for these underserved regions, addressing critical healthcare needs in places where poverty is so pervasive that many families have never had the opportunity to see a doctor. These camps don’t just deliver medical services—they are agents of change and symbols of hope, offering a chance for better health and a brighter future.

From treating common illnesses to providing preventive care and health education, our medical teams are working tirelessly to uplift these communities. We are proud to say that our efforts are making a profound impact, one that goes beyond the immediate medical attention provided. These camps are creating healthier, more resilient communities by equipping individuals with the knowledge they need to take control of their health.

Each visit strengthens the bond between our organization and these communities, reinforcing our commitment to creating lasting change. As we continue to expand our reach, we remain deeply committed to empowering individuals through healthcare, giving them the tools and support they need to overcome the barriers of poverty and lead healthier lives.

An Honored Visit; Welcoming Senator Kamran Michael!

At the start of this quarter, we had the distinct honor of welcoming Kamran Michael, a longstanding and dedicated Senator of Pakistan representing the minorities since 2012. As the Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs, Human Rights, Women Development, and Social Welfare, his visit to AG Peshawar Agape Trust was both a profound moment of recognition and a valuable opportunity for thoughtful dialogue.

Kamran Michael took the time to listen intently to the challenges and aspirations of the minority communities we serve. These conversations centered around the unique struggles minorities face—from social and economic inequalities to the lack of access to fundamental rights such as education, healthcare, and legal protection.

As we continue our mission to uplift marginalized communities, we look forward to working closely with leaders like Kamran Michael, whose dedication to justice, equality, and human dignity is hope for many.

2.1 When the heat rises) so should your awareness!

As the intense heat waves of June swept through our region, AG Agape Trust stepped up to protect vulnerable communities from the dangers of heat stroke. Recognizing the urgent need for action, we launched a comprehensive awareness campaign aimed at educating the public on preventive measures to safeguard their health during extreme weather conditions.

Our team began by delivering an informative presentation to the church community, equipping them with vital knowledge on how to stay safe during heat waves. The presentation covered key topics such as hydration, recognizing early signs of heat stroke, and practical steps to reduce exposure to extreme heat. We also emphasized the importance of looking out for vulnerable individuals— especially the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions—who are at greater risk of heat-related illnesses.

But our efforts didn’t stop there. To reach a wider audience, we took to the streets in the areas most affected by the heat, distributing brochures filled with life- saving information. These materials provided clear, actionable advice on how to stay cool, prevent heat exhaustion, and seek help in an emergency. By directly engaging with the community, we ensured that even those with limited access to information were empowered to protect themselves and their families from the dangers of extreme heat.

2.2 High Water) Higher Preparedness – Stay Safe During Floods!

As the climate crisis accelerates, changes in precipitation patterns and the growing intensity of rainfall have put certain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) at an alarmingly high risk of flooding. In response to this escalating threat, AG Peshawar Agape Trust has proactively launched a comprehensive flood preparedness awareness campaign, focusing on the three most vulnerable flood-prone regions in KPK.

The campaign’s primary objective is not just to raise awareness but to empower communities with the knowledge and resources necessary to safeguard themselves during potential flood emergencies. Through a series of educational workshops and interactive sessions, residents are being informed about the early warning signs of floods, precautionary measures to protect their homes, and how to respond swiftly and effectively in the face of rising water levels.

However, AG Peshawar Agape Trust’s initiative goes beyond awareness. Recognizing that preparedness is only half the battle, the campaign includes a hands-on emergency rescue training program. This vital training equips participants with life-saving skills such as how to execute safe evacuations, administer first aid, and work with local rescue teams to support large-scale efforts in times of crisis.

2.3 Lead the Change: Youth and Pastors Uniting for Climate Change Adaptation!

After attending a transformative training workshop by OATH, the Agape team embraced a vital new mission: to share their knowledge and inspire the church community to become active guardians of the environment. Recognizing that every individual has a role to play in the care and preservation of our planet, this initiative encourages the community to rise to the responsibility entrusted to humanity by God

—to protect and nurture the Earth. Rooted in faith and action, this mission calls on all members to take concrete steps towards becoming responsible citizens who care deeply about the world they will leave behind for future generations.

The initiative highlights the importance of sustainable practices, including reducing waste, conserving natural resources, and advocating for policies that protect vulnerable ecosystems. By connecting spiritual beliefs with environmental responsibility, the initiative seeks to inspire a movement within the church—one where faith leads to action and every small effort contributes to the greater good.

With hearts full of hope and hands ready for action, the church is being mobilized to make a lasting impact, ensuring that the planet we leave behind is one that reflects God’s beauty and grace.

2.4 Building Stronger Communities through Faith and Action—The CATCH Project!

The CATCH (Community Awakening Through Churches) Project is not just an initiative

—it’s a movement. At its heart lies a powerful vision: to unite church communities and congregations in a collective effort to support and uplift one another, especially those most in need of strengthening. Inspired by the principles of UMOJA, the Swahili word for “unity” or “togetherness,” the CATCH Project believes that true transformation happens when we come together, share our resources, and work towards common goals.

The mission is simple but profound: stronger churches lead to stronger communities. Through collaborative planning and strategic action, CATCH seeks to empower weaker congregations by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to thrive. Whether it’s revitalizing local leadership, improving infrastructure, or developing sustainable programs for growth, the project is focused on creating practical, tangible solutions that lead to meaningful progress.

3.1 Adapt Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow— 3 Days with OATH!

Members of the Agape team had the invaluable opportunity to attend a transformative three-day training workshop organized by OATH (Outreach Assistance to Humanity) for Adaptation to Climate Change. With climate change becoming an ever- pressing global concern, the workshop focused on causes and effects climate change, the event equipped participants with a robust understanding of the urgent challenges faced by our planet and the practical tools to address them.

The training delved into the fundamentals of climate change, breaking down its complex causes and illustrating the wide-ranging disasters that often follow in its wake, from hurricanes and floods to wildfires and droughts. But this wasn’t just a session on theory—the workshop had a hands-on approach, ensuring that each attendee walked away with practical knowledge and actionable skills.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the comprehensive training on disaster management and emergency rescue procedures. Participants learned not only how to react to crises but also how to prevent them, protect vulnerable communities, and implement strategic rescue operations. Through engaging simulations, the Agape team gained vital insights that will help them make a direct impact in their own communities.

3.2 Empower) Educate) Prevent: 3 Days of Drug Prevention Training!

In a powerful effort to combat the rising threat of drug abuse, AGAPE Trust hosted a comprehensive three-day training session in Islamabad, bringing together dedicated members from AGAPE Trust, AG Grammar School, and AG Church.

The training was masterfully led by Mr. Sami and Dr. Ari from FIDA, both of whom brought extensive expertise and passion to the table. Their dynamic sessions not only shed light on the root causes of drug abuse but also introduced evidence-based prevention strategies tailored to the unique needs of local communities. Mr. Sami’s deep understanding of community dynamics, coupled with Dr. Ari’s medical insights, provided participants with a holistic view of how to approach drug prevention in their own circles.

Over the course of three days, participants were taken on an immersive journey, exploring the social, psychological, and economic factors contributing to drug abuse. The training also emphasized the critical role that schools, churches, and community organizations play in early intervention and long-term prevention. From learning how to recognize warning signs in youth to implementing effective support networks, participants walked away armed with practical strategies and actionable plans.

3.3 Defending Dignity: A Session on Basic Rights and Christian Minority Advocacy!

In a significant step towards empowering our community, AG Agape Trust introduced a groundbreaking advocacy session this year aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge they need to access and defend their rights. Recognizing that awareness is the first step toward justice, this initiative was launched in collaboration with esteemed advocates from the Peshawar High Court. Together, they illuminated the core human rights every individual deserves, while focusing on issues particularly relevant to Christian minorities in Pakistan.

At the heart of the session was an in-depth exploration of marriage laws for Christian minorities, a topic often surrounded by confusion and legal complexities. By clarifying these laws and addressing the challenges faced by minority communities, the session equipped participants with practical tools to navigate their legal rights in this critical area. From marriage registration processes to legal protections for families, the information provided is set to empower individuals to make informed decisions and protect their rights under the law.

ADULT LITERACY PROGRAM (ALP)

ADULT LITERACY PROGRAM (ALP): FROM WORDS TO WISDOM EMPOWERMENT BEGINS WITH EDUCATION!

The adult literacy program for this 2023 year comprised four centers situated in distinct locations. As of now, the Adult Literacy Program (ALP) classes have concluded, having empowered a total of
60 students this year.
The impact of ALP reverberates annually as we continue to educate these individuals. Our mission is to enable our community members to acquire fundamental skills and enhance their proficiency in practical tasks such as household budgeting and engaging in daily communication. Through this initiative, we have successfully empowered more than 1,000 individuals residing in different regions of KPK, equipping them with the essential skills of learning, reading and writing basic Urdu, English and Mathematics.

A Milestone in Clean Water Access

Flood Package Distribution

The SINDH Region’s flood-affected area has received assistance from AG Peshawar AGAPE Trust. AGAPE Trust Relief & Humanitarian Aid Team assisted 400 families. The areas where relief supplies were provided were Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro, Thar, and Pithoro. The beneficiaries received ration packages, mosquito nets, and hygiene kits.

BRINGING HOPE BACK TO JARANWALA! OUR MOBILE MEDICAL CAMP IS ON A
MISSION TO RESTORE HEALTH AND SMILES AFTER THE DISTRESSING EVENTS

After the onset of stressful events in Jaranwala, AG Agape Trust extended its outreach to the
residents of Christian Colony and Essa Nagri, offering medical relief to the affected families.
Subsequent observations from the initial mobile medical camps revealed a significant number of
individuals grappling with chemical-induced skin allergies. This prompted us to revisit the
community and establish a specialized mobile medical camp focused on addressing skin-related
issues, aiming to bring comfort and healing to those in need.

AGAPE TRUST UNLEASHES JOY: KIDS CAMP THAT SPARKLE IN SMILES!

Children play a profoundly influential role in our society. Unfortunately, during challenging times, their needs are often overlooked, and their mental well-being can be jeopardized, potentially impacting their emotional health for a lifetime. However, AG Agape Trust took a different approach and ensured
that the children from affected families in Jaranwala were not neglected. We organized two kids camps specifically for these children, featuring a variety of activities and games designed to help them
overcome potential mental stress. The impact of our kids’ camps was evident as we witnessed the transformation in these children’s lives, reflected in their smiles that warmed our hearts.
These initiatives have made a positive difference in the emotional well-being of the children from Jaranwala’s affected families.
