Bringing essential healthcare closer to vulnerable and underserved communities.
AG Peshawar AGAPE Trust initiated its Medical Mobile Clinic Programme in 2016 to provide free and accessible healthcare services to underprivileged communities in Peshawar and surrounding areas. The programme aims to develop physically healthy communities by reaching people who have limited access to healthcare facilities or cannot afford medical treatment. Through compassionate service, the programme also demonstrates God’s love and care to vulnerable individuals and families. The programme has an annual target of conducting 48 mobile medical camps in different underserved locations. Target communities are identified in coordination with local churches and community representatives, helping the team reach areas where healthcare facilities are unavailable, difficult to access, or financially unaffordable. Locations are selected according to community needs so that medical assistance can reach a wider population each year. Each mobile medical camp provides free medical consultations, basic health assessments, prescribed medicines, primary healthcare, preventive guidance, and referrals where further treatment is required. By taking healthcare services directly into communities, the programme removes financial and geographical barriers that often prevent vulnerable people from seeking timely treatment.
From 2016 to 2021, more than 10,000 individuals benefited from the programme. In 2023, the Trust conducted 44 medical camps across 12 locations and provided free healthcare services to 3,400 patients, of whom approximately 53% were women. During 2024, the programme served 3,780 patients and distributed medicines valued at approximately PKR 1.7 million. The outreach included children, women, older persons, daily-wage workers, and families living in marginalized urban and rural communities. Between May and August 2025 alone, 46 medical camps were conducted, benefiting 4,159 patients.
The programme has delivered healthcare services in Peshawar and other locations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Jamrud, Landi Kotal, Tangi, Charsadda, Mardan, Abbottabad, and surrounding communities. Medical outreach has also been provided during humanitarian emergencies and in communities affected by poverty, displacement, disasters, and limited public health infrastructure. Through free consultations, medicines, health awareness, and community-based outreach, the Medical Mobile Clinic Programme contributes to early diagnosis, timely treatment, disease prevention, and improved health-seeking behaviour. The initiative not only addresses immediate medical needs but also strengthens community trust, promotes dignity, and ensures that vulnerable families receive essential healthcare regardless of their ability to pay.
Many vulnerable and underserved communities experience barriers to accessing timely and essential healthcare. The Medical Mobile Clinic Programme seeks to respond to these challenges by taking healthcare services closer to the communities that need them.
Our approach combines practical healthcare support, community outreach and health awareness. By working directly with communities, the programme seeks to understand local needs and provide services in a respectful and accessible manner.
