Responding to communities in crisis with timely support, essential resources and a renewed sense of hope.
AG Peshawar AGAPE Trust believes that caring for people in need reflects the true character and compassion of Jesus Christ. Inspired by the example of Jesus feeding 5,000 people and showing compassion to those who were suffering, the organization remains committed to serving vulnerable communities during emergencies. By the grace of God, AG Church and AGAPE Trust endeavour to respond promptly to earthquakes, floods, violent incidents, displacement, and other humanitarian crises across Pakistan. The Relief and Humanitarian Aid Programme aims to save lives, alleviate suffering, protect human dignity, and support the recovery of communities affected by natural disasters and human-made emergencies. Assistance is provided according to assessed needs and may include food packages, clean drinking water and water-aid assistance, medicines, hygiene and sanitation kits, winter supplies, household materials, medical services, shelter-related items, and financial support. Since the programme began in 2005, more than 25,000 people have benefited from AGAPE Trust’s humanitarian assistance. The programme was initiated in 2005 following the devastating earthquake in northern Pakistan. Affected families were supported with food, medicines, and essential household materials. During the 2010 floods, similar assistance was provided to affected communities in Peshawar and nearby areas.
Following the twin suicide bombing at All Saints Church, Peshawar, on 22 September 2013, in which 127 people were killed and more than 250 were injured, the organization provided immediate support to affected families. From 2013 to 2021, AGAPE Trust continued supporting widows and families of blast victims through financial assistance and other essential resources. In 2021, hygiene kits were distributed among families affected by a cloudburst in underserved communities of Islamabad. In 2022, the organization responded to the needs of Afghan refugees by providing food packages and winter kits. Humanitarian assistance was also provided to approximately 500 flood-affected beneficiaries in Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Kotri, and Khairpur in interior Sindh. Following the violence in Jaranwala in 2023, AGAPE Trust delivered an extensive emergency response. Two medical camps provided healthcare to more than 650 patients, two children’s activities reached over 400 children, and a specialized skin camp treated approximately 350 patients. Relief packages were also distributed among 100 affected families.
During the 2024 winter season, the organization distributed winter relief assistance among 130 vulnerable families in Mirpur, Sindh; Toba Tek Singh, Punjab; and Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In response to the September 2025 floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, essential relief assistance was provided to 200 affected families, including 180 families in Swat and 20 in Buner. In 2026, the organization supported 200 flood-affected families in Lahore and Kasur, Punjab. Assistance included food packages, quilts, pillows, bedsheets, mosquito nets, and gas cylinders. Widows and other highly vulnerable households were prioritized during beneficiary selection. The organization also responded to the Mariamabad Easter incident by visiting affected families and providing financial assistance to injured and bereaved households. Through community assessments and coordination with churches, donors, and local representatives, AGAPE Trust works to ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable people. Its humanitarian interventions provide immediate relief while helping affected families recover with dignity, resilience, and renewed hope.
Disasters and emergencies can place already vulnerable families under significant pressure. Loss of food, household resources, income and access to essential services can make recovery especially difficult. Humanitarian assistance can provide critical support during these moments while helping families regain stability and hope.
